Split Inbox
Divide your Inbox into tabs, so the mail that matters is on its own.
Splits are tabs across the top of your Inbox. Each one holds the conversations that match a search, like mail from your team or from a few VIPs. Important and Other hold everything else.
Move between splits
⇥ goes to the next split and ⇧⇥ to the previous one. Drag a tab left or right to reorder your splits.
Make a split
The quickest way: search for what you want (/), then open ⌘K and choose Save Search as Split. Give it a name and it opens beside your other splits.
Splits use Gmail search operators, such as from:, to:, subject: and label:. They can't search message text; if a search won't work as a split, Mailussi says why and suggests one that will.

Open ⌘K → Split Inbox Settings to see every split, its count and what it matches.
